History of Tornado

Tornado’s story began back in 1969 when the company evolved from a farming enterprise in Scotland into a fence contracting business. Throughout the 1970s and early 1980s, Tornado’s innovative approach led to a number of firsts in the industry. We began erecting permanent electric fencing, installing high tensile line wire fencing, manufacturing patented droppers for high tensile line wire fencing, and importing high tensile net fences from New Zealand.

Then, in 1982 Tornado became the first fencing company to manufacture high tensile steel wire fencing in the UK. Our heritage in the fencing industry had given us a unique understanding of how great fencing needs to perform. We have taken great pride ever since in sharing the hands-on fencing experience of our team.

Tornado is now widely recognised as the industry-leading fencing manufacturer. We produce the highest quality fencing that provides maximum protection with minimum lifetime costs.
