In the face of this current crisis, we would like to take the opportunity to thank our farmers and key agricultural workers who are continuing to labour harder than ever to ensure our country has food on the table. That’s why our store in the Cotswolds is remaining open and trading to serve our farming community, providing provision to secure essential items for keeping the countryside working.
It is an understatement to say the work of farmers and agriculture often goes unnoticed. Living an isolated life, our farming community are the unsung heroes. Turning their hand to anything – the broken fence post to shearing sheep; cleaning out the cow shed to harvesting wheat. Working tirelessly through early mornings, late nights, freezing rain and scorching sun, to provide our supermarkets and households nationwide with fresh produce, meat and essential store-cupboard basics like flour, bread and cereal. It is easy to forget our farmers in the onslaught of news and changing economic scene, but without this crucial industry, we would literally be devoid of the basic ingredients on which to survive. It is therefore duly time, we felt, to say a huge thank you and do all we can to support the backbone of our nation.
With large stocks of animal feed and animal health products not to mention our fencing, gardening, equestrian, tools and DIY essentials, we’re sure that you’ll be able to get what you need to carry out your everyday tasks whether ordering online, over the phone or in the store itself.
In our store, we’ve taken measures to ensure that when customers visit our store for essential items, they and our counter staff are kept as safe as possible. We’ve taken the decision to temporarily suspend all customer use of our free hot drinks machine, installed protective screens on our counter and animal health dispensary and have marked safe distance queuing points on the floor. We are also providing hand sanitiser for use on entry and exit of our store. Our new order collection point has also proved popular with many who would prefer to avoid the store. This way, we can ensure the protection and health of our key workers and staff is kept at a high standard and we can remain fully operational in this health crisis.
Of course, our free delivery is being utilised by so many and is the perfect way to obtain your essential supplies when self-isolating, vulnerable or would simply prefer to stay home.
We will continue to be there for you through this time, providing you with your essential items to care for your livestock, keep the machinery working, and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of your establishment continues! If you have any questions at this time or would like advice, please don’t hesitate to give us a ring – our team of experts would be more than happy to help. Together, let’s keep backing British farming through keeping the countryside working!
