This year, our team have had an amazing time at some of the most talked about agriculture events that took place across the UK.
From seeing your livestock become champions in the showring to watching you choose new sheep for your farm, it has been a joy to create unforgettable memories with you. In this blog, we relive some of our favourite highlights from our 2023 events tour.
Blaston & District Agricultural Show
At the start of summer, we made our debut appearance at Blaston & District Agricultural Show where we spotted you competing your livestock and enjoying a day out in the countryside.
Our Sales Rep, Elle, said “It was lovely to meet lots of new customers and to enjoy a drink with them in the sun.”
Honeybourne Show
We then headed to Honeybourne’s lamb sale where we saw a great selection of high quality livestock. Our team were delighted to catch up with you and to watch the action on the day.
Thame Summer Sheep Fair
In August, our team spent two days at Thame Sheep Fair where we witnessed the sale of 19,000 sheep. We also met Costwold-based farmer, Karl Franklin (aka @the_pretend_farmer), who was purchasing new additions for his flock in Chipping Norton.
Karl described the pen he took home with him as “really fit, which does make me like the look of them.” Watch Karl talk through the sheep he was tempted to buy here.
Blakesley Show
The next stop on our tour was the 138th Blakesley Show which had something for everyone, from captivating livestock displays to thrilling equestrian performances.
Longborough Store Manager, Tom, said “It was very wet, but that didn’t seem to put too many farmers off! We saw lots of existing customers, as well as some new faces.”
Bucks County Show
During Bucks County Show, we were delighted to catch up with Georgina and Harriet from the Seawell flock who were competing on the day.
The Young Handlers explained the steps they took to prepare their five sheep for the competition:
“We washed all of them and trimmed their wool yesterday. We combed them and we took off the straw before they went into the ring”
Moreton Show
To wrap up StowAg’s 2023 tour, we exhibited at Moreton Show where we proudly cheered for several of our customers, including The Turnstone Show Team, The Roelcots Flock and Young Handler, Freya.
During the event, Freya proudly introduced us to her stunning heifer, Jolene, who made the Judge’s head turn in the showring.
The Young Handler shared “The judges loved her because she’s got quite a lot of muscle on her and she’s just quite pretty”
As our 2023 events tour comes to an end, we can't help but reflect on the incredible experiences we've shared with you. We eagerly anticipate the release of our 2024 events calendar.
